Bjørn Eidsvåg has appeared in Norwegian tax lists with net income above NOK 4 million in nearly every year we could check since 2005. The 2005 list showed NOK 7.2 million, and the latest list we found showed NOK 6.4 million. For a 72-year-old who began his career as a trained priest, that is an unusually durable income.
So what is Bjørn Eidsvåg’s net worth in 2026? No credible published estimate exists. We found none from Forbes, Kapital or the other Norwegian outlets we searched. What can be documented is narrower and more useful: tax-list entries, company accounts and the shape of a five-decade career.
Is Bjørn Eidsvåg’s Net Worth Publicly Confirmed?
No. As of October 2026, his net worth is not publicly confirmed, and we have not used any unsourced figures from celebrity websites.
Tax lists cannot fill the gap. NRK explains that they show income after all deductions. On wealth, Nettavisen noted that real wealth can be much higher than listed because of valuation discounts, which in 2022 were 45 percent for shares, fund units and commercial property.

Who Is Bjørn Eidsvåg?
Bjørn Eidsvåg was born on 17 March 1954 in Sauda, a small industrial town in Rogaland. Store norske leksikon lists his parents as baker Einar Eidsvåg and Evelyn Fredriksen. He studied theology, graduated from the MF Norwegian School of Theology and was a fully trained priest by 1980.
From the pulpit to the stage
His songs ran against the expectations of traditional church music, and the press soon called him “rockepresten”, the rock priest. He made his recording debut in 1976 with Inn for Landing, according to Wikipedia.
Official concert bios count 28 albums since his start in 1971, while Wikipedia counts more than 25 since the 1976 debut. The difference is likely a matter of what counts as an album. He left Lier for Oslo in 2012 after about thirty years in Lier.
Career and Achievements
Becoming a household name
His breakthrough with the wider public came in 1993. Allemannsland sold more than 60,000 copies in a short time, and every album from Dansere i natten (1986) through 2014 reached the Norwegian top 15. Denmark embraced him too: Tålt was released there in 2003, and he has toured Denmark since 2004.
Wikipedia notes at least three Spellemannprisen wins. One came in 2002 for the duet “Mysteriet Deg” with Lisa Nilsson, as Klikk reported.
Theatre, television and a second wind
In 2016 he played sold-out runs at Det Norske Teatret with his self-written show Etterlyst: Jesus, which DN linked to a record year for his company Relis.
The next boost came in 2023 on TV 2’s Hver gang vi møtes. According to a festival listing, Emma Steinbakken’s version of his song “Floden” became the most-streamed song on Spotify in Norway that year. He then worked with producer Carl-Viktor Guttormsen on new versions of “Ringdans” and “Skyfri himmel”.

Honours and the 2026 season
In 2024 he turned 70 and was surprised by a full Oslo Spektrum; the concert aired on NRK1 and was reportedly the sixth most-watched NRK programme of the year. That autumn he entered the Rockheim Hall of Fame, and in 2025 he became a Commander of the Order of St. Olav.
He toured with comedian Bjarte Tjøstheim in 2025 and spring 2026, and listings show summer festival dates including Sildajazz in Haugesund on 5 August.
How Bjørn Eidsvåg Makes Money
His income rests on live work, recorded music and rights, and occasional theatre and television projects. He has played about 80 concerts a year for many years. DN reported that his company Quint produces his concerts and manages his copyrights, while his wholly owned company Relis books his other activities.
What the Tax Lists Show
The tax lists give the longest record. Figures are in NOK.
| Tax-list year | Net income | Net wealth |
|---|---|---|
| 2005 | 7,238,213 | 2,232,491 |
| 2006 | 5,739,275 | 3,738,058 |
| 2007 | 5,871,096 | 4,936,865 |
| 2011 | 4,185,129 | 0 |
| 2022 | 4,691,299 | 0 |
Sources: Klikk (2005), Aftenbladet (2006–2007), Drammens Tidende (2011), NRK (2022).

Other years fill the picture. Income fell to NOK 2.9 million in 2008, then rose to NOK 4,667,578 in 2009, when only Maria Mena ranked higher among Norwegian musicians. He reported NOK 4.9 million for 2016 and NOK 4,035,797 for 2021, a level Nettavisen called stable over five years. The latest list we found, published in late 2025, put him at NOK 6.4 million. We infer that covers 2024, the year of his 70th-birthday concert.
A wealth entry of NOK 0, as in 2011 and 2022, does not mean he owns nothing. The lists show assessed net wealth after debt and discounts, and assets held in companies sit outside personal wealth.
Relis AS and Quint AS: The Company Side
DN reported that Eidsvåg owns Relis alone, and that Relis holds 75 percent of Quint. Figures below are in NOK millions.
| Year | Relis revenue | Relis pre-tax profit |
|---|---|---|
| 2015 | 4.9 | 2.4 |
| 2016 | 5.5 | 2.7 |
| 2024 | 5.9 | 3.3 |
Sources: DN (2015 and 2016) and Proff.no (2024). For 2018, E24 reported that Quint’s revenue grew by NOK 5 million to NOK 19 million, and that Quint and Relis together turned over more than NOK 24 million and earned NOK 2.8 million.
Proff lists Relis’s 2024 net profit at NOK 2.6 million, but equity of only NOK 0.8 million against assets of NOK 5.8 million. The company’s books therefore say little about his personal wealth.

Endorsements and Lifestyle
We found no verified endorsement deals, property holdings or luxury purchases. Relis’s stated purpose includes property rental and investments, but that is a purpose clause, not evidence of holdings, so we draw no conclusion from it.
Conclusion
Bjørn Eidsvåg’s finances are best read as a long income record, not a single number. Tax lists show net income of roughly NOK 4 million to NOK 7 million in most years since 2005, and his Relis company reported NOK 5.9 million in revenue for 2024. A 2023 television revival and a 70th-birthday year have kept him in demand.
Until he or his companies disclose more, any exact Bjørn Eidsvåg net worth 2026 figure is speculation. We will update this article if a credible estimate appears.
